Whilst on foot patrol in great Malvern town yesterday afternoon, PC Dave Olczak spotted a taxi driver using his mobile phone whilst waiting at a red traffic light on Church Street.
The driver was spoken to and is being issued with a ticked for using a mobile phone whilst driving. 
The standard penalty in the UK for using a mobile phone while driving, is a £200 fine and six penalty points on your driving license. 

One of the benefits of carrying out foot patrols on busy streets, is that it is easier to spot drivers using mobile phones and not wearing seatbelts.
